Chicago Organizations Doing Great Work

Assata's Daughters

Assata's Daughters is an intergenerational collective of Black women and girls committed to liberation. They provide free community programs for Black girls, a community garden, and engage in direct action. Visit their website to learn more and donate to support their work!

MASK is Mothers Against Senseless Killings, a group of mothers on the South Side of Chicago who pick a different corner in the Englewood community to sit on, providing food, resources and deescalating conflicts. They currently need people to purchase and deliver food that they can serve to the community, and if you're in Chicago and available to do so, sign up here.  Learn more about MASK on their website

Liberation Library

Liberation Library is a grassroots collective of volunteers who send donated books to youth who are incarcerated in Illinois prisons. You can support by donating books, money or volunteering to help pack books. Visit their website to learn more!
